Bahamas Bound

We are planning to leave the Dominican Republic tomorrow and make the 200 mile trip to Mayaguana in the Bahamas. This weather window is looking a lot better than the last one with the wind out of the southeast for the first time in two weeks. We made some new friends on the boat next to us: Bill and Sue on Unchained. They got here even before we did and have been waiting on both weather and a new transmission which finally arrived yesterday. So, they are ready to leave as well and will keep us company for the 36 hour trip. We are hoping to leave at dawn, but the Navy and a narcotics officer have to clear us to leave first. They are supposed to be at the boat at 4:30AM. We should be in Mayaguana by sunset on Saturday.
